The US President is an avid basketball fan but it’s not surprising that stadiums are closed down and security is tight whenever Barrack Obama hits the courts. Unfortunately a media blackout of the President’s Easter celebrations contradicted the whole point of holding Easter celebrations and Obama’s game was not afforded its usual degree of privacy. In front of children, their parents, and the whole of America, Obama missed 18 shots in a row before finishing his uninspiring stint on the court at 2-22.
While Obama’s wayward radar doesn’t rate a John Howard on the World Leaders Embarrassing Themselves On The Sports Field scale, it does indicate that the President’s regular pick-up games with ex-NBA stars including Scottie Pippen, see plenty of preferential presidential treatment. The greatest indignity comes towards the end of the clip when a 3-foot-nothing child shows up the leader of the free world, sinking a layup after watching the President fail in his two previous attempts. Shame, shame, shame.
