The glamorous rock inspired creations of Balmain’s Christophe Decarnin (structured shoulders, mini minis and the most expensive denim in town) have adorned arbiters of style such as French Vogue’s Carine Roitfeld and Emmanuel Alt and converted an army of Fashion forward women into Decarnin’s disciples.
With the debut of Balmain’s menswear collection and newly released lookbook however, men too can sheepishly drop four figures on a pair of jeans (in the face of recession mind you) and drool over pieces they never thought they’d covet. The leather trench coat pictured above for example is so dope it’s almost worth the arm and leg it would cost to buy it…almost.
