Last week we considered the possible opening of a Marc Jacobs store in Australia based on the Twitterings Tweets of Marc Jacobs President Robert Duffy. “We are talking about doing something in Australia.” he Tweeted Thursday “We shall see. I like the idea.”.
Well apparently everyone in Australia liked the idea too because a few days later Duffy Tweeted this…
Wow Australia, it seems like we want a Marc Jacobs store really, really badly. So badly that our collective outpouring of enthusiasm prompted Duffy to tentatively plan a Sydney trip in April and describe the Australian population as “driven”. They’re still hypothetical Tweets but we wouldn’t be surprised if an Australian Marc Jacobs store gets announced later this year.
