Australia Breaks Baddest On Highest Illegal Downloads For Series Finale


Valiant Down Under pirates—you guys—have been at it again with the questionable copyright values, officially receiving the gold medal (once again) for illegal downloads of last night’s Breaking Bad finale, “Felina”.

According to Torrentfreak, 12 hours after the first copy of Felina appeared online, half a million downloads were already clocked worldwide. While Aussies arguably have a fairly legitimate reason for visiting the torrent shop to collect the Breaking Bad finale—non Foxtel paying viewers would have to wait far too long to dodge the spoiler minefield online—Americans still torrented for the sake of it hard, with the US taking up the second spot behind Oz with 14.5% of downloads. Torrentfreak also reports that at the download’s peak, 85,000 torrenters were literally sharing the one upload.
