Aussie Jeans-And-Sneakers Wearers Honour Look With Dedicated Pub Crawl

There is nothing like the soft crinkle of dark, loose denim over a formless white sneaker. It’s the pinnacle of insouciant dad-style. It screams confidence in one’s own skin and a cool defiance of social norms.

The combination of sneakers and jeans – lovingly referred to as sneans, by true connoisseurs – has long been the target of ridicule, but a Facebook page dedicated to the timeless appeal of nameless dungarees over blocky, no-nonsense runners has spawned a pub crawl in the look’s honour.

Ben and Liam’s Sneans Pub Crawl, being thrown by Adelaide radio station Fresh 92.7, promises to be full-blooded sneanfest. On Friday 30 October, over 450 sneaners and counting will tear through the city, surely scouring the bottom racks at every shoe shop they come across, looking for the hidden gems to make their tattered denim really pop.

And who said normcore was dead
