Appalling Ninny Donald Trump Admits He Thought Presidency Would Be “Easier”

The wizened orange gourd known as Donald Trump has had a tumultuous first 100 days as president of the United States. There’s been the intense public scrutiny over trifling matters like a totally reasonable fear of stairs, having a wife who quite possibly hates you, and needing to push stuff around on tables in order to feel secure. There’s the constant pressure of having to weigh in on complicated global issues like conflict with North Korea and the threat of terror attacks in major cities. Who knew the presidency could be so… hard?
Not florid wattle Donald Trump, apparently! In a truly disconcerting interview with Reuters, the tangerine knuckle revealed that he really thought this whole being-the-president jag would be, well, a lot easier.
“I loved my previous life,” he told reporters. “I had so many things going. This is more work than in my previous life. I thought it would be easier.”
How a human man living on Spaceship Earth could possibly labour under the misapprehension that being in charge of the most powerful country on the planet could be easier than a life of reality TV appearances and casual bankruptcies, I just do not know.
But there you have it, folks: the president of the USA. He thought this new gig would be a doddle. It ain’t.
