Like horse-human hybrids emerging from the sea, the otherworldly looks (and models) at Alexander McQueen’s SS/10 show cemented the British Designer’s place among the great sartorial minds of our generation. As always, McQueen approached his craft with a flair for the dramatic, combining grotesque hoof-like ten inch heels and reptilian prints with breathtaking tailoring and elaborate set designs.
We could talk about the computer generated prints, the structural finesse, the theatre and the fantasy but seriously, when Martian-Centaurs invade planet Earth in the year 3000 this is what they’ll be wearing, and we’ll bow down in awe.
