Adobe Laughs At The Salad With You, Drops Collection Of Stock Photo Fashion

There are entire blogs devoted to the comically bad stock photo. A personal fave? Women Laughing Alone With Salad, a tumblr that collects the most bizarre shots of women looking incredibly chirpy as they sit, alone, fork poised to eat leafy greens.

We love to laugh at them, but would you ever wear a t-shirt ft. a firm handshake between business associates, or a retired couple frolicking on the beach? You’re going to have to look deep within yourself for the answer, m8s, because Adobe Stock Apparel is now a thing.
It’s part of a marketing campaign Adobe created with Swedish ad agency Abby Priest, showing cheesy stock imagery in a different light with “a limited-edition clothing line giving a salute to the most infamous stock images creatives love to hate.”
Creative director Oskar Hellqvist rightly points out that some stock photos are classics in themselves.
“Some stock images have earned their place in the history books—classic motifs that have been overused and established as hilarious clichés, known, loved and/or hated by all. … Turning them into a limited-edition clothing line is our way to salute them and an attempt to create something disruptive and unconventional in the genre.”
