With a solid headwind, I reckon I could knock out a hundred metre sprint in about 3 or 4 minutes – allowing for a 30 second Gatorade break and a further 30 seconds of crying.
But even that stellar effort pales in comparison to Jamaican sprinter Elaine Thompson, who just blitzed a sub-11 second 100m at the London Diamond League… wearing joggers.

Claiming that her Nike spikes were “not comfortable”, Thompson chose to sprint in flats instead, smashing out a 10.94 second sprint in basically the same shoes your dad huffs around the local park wearing until he gives up his New Year’s resolution for good.
