The Wiggles Sang A Song About The US National Rugby League Team, Will Shortly Be Charged With Treason

Those less prone to cynicism might view this clip of The Wiggles 2.0 singing a song about the US national rugby league team’s shock wins over The Cook Islands and Wales in their opening Rugby League World Cup fixtures as an effective way to promote the code to a group of people who aren’t really that familiar with it (American toddlers).

To our eyes, though, this clip is irrefutable video evidence of treason punishable by death by John Hopoate and should leave us with little doubt as to which was the most patriotic permutation of the iconic Australian children’s group.

Not this one. This one clearly hates Australia, guys.

Granted, we’re not lawyers or entirely positive on treason’s legal definition, but we’re pretty sure that the act of wearing an Uncle Sam hat and singing a pro-America song about Barack Obama raising the rugby league world cup aloft and inscribing some nobody’s face on Mount Rushmore is the exact same thing as setting the lawns of parliament on fire.

Needless to say, this wouldn’t have happened on Jeff’s watch.
