Steve Smith Is Your Allan Border Medallist For 2015

Congratulations to Prince Philip, who has tonight been announced as the recipient of Australian cricket’s most prestigious honour, the Allan Border Medal.

Jk, that title goes to suspected Jedi Knight and ascendent cricketing legend Steve Smith, who at 25-years-old has become the youngest recipient of the award in a decade since his test predecessor, Michael Clarke, received the same honour what seems like just yesterday, at just 23 years of age in 2005.
According to FOX Sports, Smith scored “seven hundreds and a total of 1756 runs across all three formats” in the last year and also deservingly took out both the Test and One Day Player of the Year awards at the 2015 Allan Border Medal ceremony at Carriageworks in Sydney this evening, in spite of obstacles operating against his favour
On this day of days, cricketing legends abound. Congratulations, everyone.
