Cop A Squiz At The Most Utterly Bananas Miss In Football History

It’s important to understand that, despite being paid millions upon millions of dollars and despite it being their 24/7 job, professional athletes are still human, and are still prone to the occasional foible here and there. That being said, feast your eyes on this unbelievable shit, which even the most rank of Sunday League spud wouldn’t be able to recreate if they tried it a thousand times.

Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting of European giants Paris Saint-Germain has successfully pulled off one of the most outrageous, seemingly impossible misses in the history of professional football overnight, during a match against French Ligue One rivals Strasbourg.

With the score tied at 1-1, Choupo-Moting stepped onto the end of a chip over Strasbourg goalkeeper Christopher Nkunku.

Onside, with no defenders between him and the goals, and the ball rolling onto the goalline, Choupo-Moting did, well… this.

Fucken… HOW.

How do you even do that? How is it achieved? How is it remotely possible that ball didn’t even get a millimetre of itself across the goal line. That’s harder to do than most actual highlight goals. There’s infinite timelines and infinite universes out there and apparently we’re living in the only one where that ball doesn’t go in. Unbelievable.

The mind-boggling miss wound up costing PSG the game, having to settle for a 2-2 draw against Strasbourg, which represents the first time this season the Parisian heavyweights gave up points at their home stadium.

It also means PSG will have to wait a little longer to seal their sixth league trophy in seven years; a win would have wrapped the season up for them, but instead they’ll have to now wait until next weekend to stitch up the league title.

Seriously though.

How do you miss that.

How.

How.
