More Details Emerge Of Bernard Tomic’s Miami Hotel Arrest

This week, Bernard Tomic officially joined the tier of celebrity athletes who get busted by the po po for throwing raucous parties in luxury hotels, while US champ Andy Roddick officially joined the Bernard Tomic-Tennis Australia pile-on.

Roddick entered the fray via the below, pointed Tweet, seemingly in response to recent comments by Nick Kyrgios:
Pat Rafter recently criticised the culture of “entitlement” surrounding younger Aussie players like Kyrgios and Tomic. “Another negative comment out of Rafter’s mouth, does this guy ever stop?” Kyrgios said in response, in a Tweet that has since been deleted.
Clearly Roddick, like Rod Laver, would appreciate it if players get off his damn lawn (tennis).
Tomic, recently dumped from Australia’s Davis Cup team after remarks he made at Wimbledon, was arrested at the W Hotel in South Beach, Miami, this week, after reportedly refusing police instructions to turn down loud music and leave the premises.
The young player says that he was partying with friends in his room, but was asleep at the time of the first complaint, when security guards knocked on the door and requested that music be turned down.
He says that the music was turned down at this point, as requested, and that it had not been turned up when security showed up a second time. Soon after the second visit by security, police arrived, and Tomic was arrested.
He later told Seven’s Sunrise that he was hurried along by police, who felt that he was “not quick enough” in gathering his belongings, and he was placed in handcuffs and removed  by force after telling them to “relax.”
The still-shirtless player then spent several hours behind bars, before being released on bail.

“It was definitely my fault,” Tomic later said. “I’m sorry for the police and the disturbance I caused. I’m just happy I got out, and no one got hurt.”
That said, Tomic apparently stands by his comments regarding Tennis Australia and their lack of support, and says that he will not be apologising to them any time soon.
Tomic’s family may yet sue Tennis Australia over the infamous ‘Hall Of Shame’ email that surfaced last week.
Tennis – who knew this shit could get so hectic?
