The AFL has named this year’s Goal of the Year contenders. The nominees, an Eddie Betts special from the pocket, an audacious snap from Bulldogs rookie Marcus Bontempelli and a sublime running goal from Port speedster Matt White were all superbly taken but we can’t help but feeling like Courtenay Dempsey’s accidental rainbow flick was the best thing we saw this season. Seriously guys, just make up an award and give it to him.
