Fiji Rugby Team Does Good, Serve Meals When Emergency Keeps Staff Busy

If you haven’t already backed a team for the upcoming Rugby Sevens World Series, we’re about to make the decision a lot easier for you.

On a flight from Nadi to Brisbane, the world #1 ranked team Fiji proved themselves large and in charge when an elderly passenger began suffering a serious health complication.

A passenger aboard the Virgin Australia flight says the team’s doctor and coach helped flight staff with the woman, who was falling in and out of consciousness. To make matters worse, they crew were forced to juggle the meal service while keeping an eye on the ill passenger.

What ever is a rugby team to do?

If you’re the absolute champions from Fiji, push some goddamn meal trolleys and serve goddamn some dinner is what you bloody well do.

By all accounts, the team did a bang-up job of it, too: they even picked up the rubbish.

While the condition of the woman isn’t known at this stage, it’s comforting to know that smatterings of Fijian sportspeople still populate the sky, offering their services at a moment’s notice.

Pick up your game, rest of the planet.

Their next series kicks off in Dubai on December 4, and every other team have some serious brownie points to make up before then.
