If there’s a single lesson one would hope now-notorious racist Donald Sterling could have gleaned from the last 7 days, it’s that racism is bad and if you are a racist you will get in trouble.
But it seems even that simple message has eluded the soon-to-be ex-owner of the Clippers: he’s told LA magazine DuJour “I wish I had just paid her off”, referring to former mistress V. Stiviano, who leaked the tapes of his racist hatevalanche last week.
So, to recap: the man with a storied history of racism, who could have continued to do nothing but be a wealthy old lizard if only he’d been not a racist, who eventually came undone because his disgruntled mistress had enough of his racism – this guy’s main regret is not buying her silence.
