Adam Goodes Booed Yet Again As Swans Thrash St Kilda

The Sydney Swans won a decisive victory over St Kilda yesterday, defeating their rivals by 97 points at Melbourne’s Etihad Stadium, but the jubilation of the win was undercut by … you guessed it, certain sections of the crowd who could not refrain from booing Adam Goodes.
The star player took a break from the game earlier this month, saying that the consistent booing he faced from away game crowds had racist undertones, and was affecting his morale as well as that of his team mates.
Goodes faced jeers when he touched the ball earlier in the game; he went on to kick no fewer than three three goals against St Kilda, but was booed by a small section of the crowd each time.
Nonetheless, his supporters were out in force, with many more cheering for the number 37, and Tweeting out their support for the embattled player, as well as their condemnation of those who still want to boo him.

Sydney will face the Gold Coast Suns at the SCG this Saturday September 5.
