7 Players Sent Off In Mexican Second Division Football Brawl

There a brawls and then there are South American football brawls. In wild scenes, 6 players and three substitutes saw red cards after a mass punch-up broke out between players from Mexican second division teams Estudiantes Tecos and Dorados. Typically off-radar air swings soon made way for running fly-kicks as one Dorados player fled into the stands in an effort to escape his attackers. Umpires were given little choice but to let the players wear themselves out before restoring order and resuming play 30 minutes later. Estudiantes won the match 2-1. The brawl was declared a draw.
