Yes, people are inviting llamas to help celebrate their big days, and it’s weird and wonderful and we want one NOW.
Mtn Peak Therapy Llamas and Alpacas, located in Oregon in the USA, is a non-profit organisation that takes these cute AF animals out to nursing homes, classrooms and childrens’ hospitals to generally spread joy and other feels.
But five years ago the organisation got a request for two of their llamas, Rojo and Smokey, to attend a wedding, which launched a whole other side project: Wedding Llamas.
The company’s founder Lori Gregory told People:
“We jumped at the opportunity, as we had always thought it would be a very fun and unique experience, as well as a fabulous way to entertain guests. After posting photos of that wedding onto Rojo’s Facebook page, we started receiving more invites, and the requests have nearly doubled every year since.”
TBH, we can see why. Just cop a load of these bloody cuties.
The llamas come fully dressed in their finest wedding gear, so there’s no need to worry that they won’t stick to the dress code.

Unfortunately there are no wedding llama providers in Australia – as far as we know, anyway – but it seems like a real niche that is just crying out to be filled.
