It goes without saying that America and Australia are worlds apart in how they operate. For starters, one has drop bears and the other doesn’t, and I think that says enough about just how wildly different the two countries are. This TikTok user however is shattering my entire brain by listing off things that she never knew until coming to live here from America, like frozen coke? What the hell?

And of course, although most of us grew up with the constant threat of spiders coming to eat us looming over our heads, Americans did not. It’s not very surprising that upon coming into contact with a Huntsman of all things, people from overseas flip the fuck out.

Speaking of animals that cause a menace in Australia, Neff also shared her disbelief in discovering that magpies are a thing that exist. Swooping season, and our methods to protect against it, like ziptie-helmets, must be such a strange concept to those who didn’t grow up here.
