Google Revealed The Most Popular Searches From The Horrid Science-Fiction Film That Was 2020

If ever there were a year where we relied on Google to answer the many questions to life’s many problems, it’s 2020. This awful, wretched year has seen us confined in our homes with nothing to do while all hell breaks loose outside.

To give us an insight into the way people were thinking (or rather, the way people were Googling) this year, Google has unveiled all the top searches from 2020, divided into various categories, to reveal what folks were searching for during what has arguably been one of the most batshit years in the history of civilisation.

Of the overall searches here in Australia, you’d think coronavirus would be #1, but it turns out folks were most concerned about the US election.

Hell, even NBA and Zoom beat out ‘coronavirus symptoms’ as a Google search, which definitely wasn’t the case for me, but different strokes and all that.

2. Coronavirus
3. NBA
4. Zoom
5. Coronavirus symptoms
6. Kobe Bryant
7. Weather tomorrow
8. Fires near me
9. Coronavirus Victoria
10, Trump vs Biden

Because everyone became pseudo chefs this year (myself included), there’s an entire category dedicated to the recipes people were looking up on Google and funnily enough, numero uno is not digestible (or ingestible, despite what Donald Trump says).

Hand sanny is number one, followed by, ofc, sourdough bread. Shoutout to the iconic Anzac cookie which made it to number eight on the list. Bless.
