If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably spent the better part of the last year or so indulging in the weird and wonderful depths of TikTok.
There are a lot of colourful characters who grace the app — from the iconic Pasta Queen to this girl who turned her head into a green-screen, and even the one and only Dr Karl, we’re truly spoilt for choice when it comes to embracing all different walks of life via little nuggets of video-y goodness.
But, there is one group of people who truly bring more unbridled joy to our FYPs than any other.
Tradies.
Good ol’ carpenters, tilers, brickies and everything in between.
Tradies are the god-damn backbone of all things wholesome and pure on TikTok — it is one of the many hills I will die on. But, in a world where everyone takes themselves ~so~ seriously, tradies have been churning out feel-good content for over a year now, and it’s time they get the gas-up they deserve.
For example, they’re not afraid to take the mickey out of themselves. I’ve encountered way too much motivational / side-hustle peddling content on the internet recently, and stuff like this is the perfect antidote to all that self-righteousness.

Honestly, with the heaviness of life hitting an all-time high of grimness right now, it’s kind of nice to escape from it all with stuff that’s just straight-up fun like this.
TradieTok is elite in every way, and even if you’re not learning DIY tricks or looking to take up a trade yourself, it’s pretty much guaranteed you’ll be chortling your pants off in no time.
