Police have descended on YouTube‘s headquarters in San Bruno, California after multiple 911 calls reporting an active shooter on the premises.
Several YouTube employees sent tweets shortly after 1pm local time reporting a shooting on the premises, including product manager Vadim Lavrusik.
Active shooter at YouTube HQ. Heard shots and saw people running while at my desk. Now barricaded inside a room with coworkers.

Fellow employee Todd Sherman also took to Twitter to claim that employees initially thought the chaos was an “earthquake” and reported seeing “blood drips” on the floor and stairs as he and several others made their ways to the exit.
“I looked down and saw blood drips on the floor and stairs,” he tweeted. “Peeked around for threats and then we headed downstairs and out the front.”
