Paramount’s latest flick, Babylon, celebrates all things 1920s decadence and glamour — house parties were built different back then.
The film stars Brad Pitt, Diego Calva, and our very own Margot Robbie in a true Hollywood big-screen epic set in 1920s Los Angeles.
A talented supporting cast including Jovan Adepo, Li Jun Li and Jean Smart bolsters the tale of outrageous ambition and excess while tracing the rise and fall of multiple stars in a period of early Hollywood decadence and depravity.
Babylon Is directed by 37-year-old Damien Chazelle who has quite the impressive resume with Whiplash, La La Land, and First Man already under his belt. It’s quite annoying when you see people relatively young doing so well. Ugh, anyway.
The film is a must-see on the big screen — it’s a wild over-the-top romp that manages to explore a relatable underdog story while also providing a true party-on-the-big-screen experience. Speaking of big screen, it’s hitting Aussie cinemas on January 19.
