WATCH: Waleed Shrugs Off Tele Drama, Goes Hard At The NBN On ‘The Project’

Not willing to let this week’s possibly racist and definitely bullshit sledging get him down, Waleed Aly has laid down the law again in one of his trademark The Project monologues, this time setting his eye to the NBN, which, I think we all know by now, is a toilet.
The NBN is coming up again because government documents were leaked this week that indicate the NBN is running behind schedule – which is particularly awful because the NBN we’re getting is a drastically stripped back and, subsequently, shittier version of what we were promised.
As an example of the difference, Waleed points out that under the initial NBN plan a HD movie would take 30 seconds to download; under the Coalition’s NBN it would take 10 to 20 minutes. That might not seem too bad but consider that people in Scandinavia are probably getting super HD 4K movies minutes before they actually decide to download them.
He also took the time to take a very classy jab at Karl and Lisa‘s pretty questionable take on Waleed and Lee Lin getting Logie nominations when they didn’t, by simply letting the footage speak for itself.
If anything it’s worth it just to once again see the footage of Abbott having a 30 second brain fart trying to explain his “shit happens” comment about an Australian soldier who died in Afghanistan, have a watch:
