
First and foremost, it’s about how to stop the Islamic State. Which sounds like quite the task, doesn’t it? They’re big and scary and are the root of all the terror attacks currently happening around the world.
Well, sort of. Aly reminds us that no, they aren’t behind every terror attack. They do take credit for them all, though. They want us to be scared of them.
One of ISIL‘s main goals is to create a divide between ‘the West’ (us, the enemy), and the rest of the world. So, when Australian people decide to associate IS with all Muslim people and engage in Islamophobic rhetoric, that is obviously helping divide us. That’s what ISIL wants.
