You might remember a little while ago when the local cast of The Lion King stage show took over a Virgin Australia flight from Brisbane to Sydney by performing a spontaneous – and completely joyous – rendition of the show’s opening number, The Circle of Life.
Not to be outdone by a bunch of drongo antipodeans, the cast of the Broadway production decided to take a little bit of their show out of the theatres and into the streets by taking over a regular ole’ Subway car through the majesty/bewilderment of the flash mob.
Oh, go right ahead and sing along. You know you want to. Don’t be like that guy sitting with his face on his fist who really, really wants all of this to just go away so he can deal with the commute home in peace.
