WATCH: Rogen, Franco Have Their Inglorious Basterds Moment In ‘The Interview’ Trailer

Who doesn’t love a good bit of anti-communist sentiment to fuel their entertainment needs? Seth Rogen and James Franco are once again teaming up in a comedy-full-of-fireballs, with their sights set squarely on that always loveable nutbag, North Korea‘s benevolent leader, Kim Jong Un.

The Interview sees the pair step into the shoes of a TV presenter and his producer who land an interview with the dictator, but are then asked by the CIA to pull double duty and turn it into an assassination mission as well, ultimately proving that they’re not even remotely qualified for the job. Cue: hijinks.
The film is directed by Rogen and long-time buddy and collaborator Evan Goldberg, with the pair both writing the script along with Dan Sterling, who has worked on a swathe of TV shows including The Office, South Park, Girls, The Daily Show, and King of the Hill. Lizzy Caplan also stars in the film as some version of the magnificent radiant fish that she is, I can only assume.
The Interview comes out in October this year. Strap in.
