Watch Malala’s Message For The Peshawar School Attack Survivors

Nobel prize winner with, tbh, more inspirational life vibes than Beyoncé, Malala Yousafzai has released two statements in the hours following last night’s unimaginably abhorrent attack on a school in the north-western Pakistani city of Peshawar – one that left an estimated 142 dead in its wake, 132 of them school children no different in age from Malala when she was shot in the head by the Taliban in 2012 while campaigning for the rights of young women to receive an education.
Her first, a written statement, reads:
“I am heartbroken by this senseless and cold blooded act of terror in Peshawar that is unfolding before us. Innocent children in their school have no place in horror such as this. I condemn these atrocious and cowardly acts and stand united with the government and armed forces of Pakistan whose efforts so far to address this horrific event are commendable. I, along with millions of others around the world, mourn these children, my brothers and sisters – but we will never be defeated.”
Her second is a stirring video message delivered via The Malala Fund, which you can watch below.
ICYMI, Malala’s Nobel Prize acceptance speech is embedded below that.
