If you’re as hooked on the story of notorious Mexican drug lord El Chapo as Sean Penn (read: fkn heaps), footage of the early-morning assault that brought him down is the stuff of cinegasms.
GoPro footage – released by Mexican authorities – takes us inside the gunfire-heavy raid that ended Joaquin Guzman‘s six-months-long runner, following 17 elite Mexican Marines as they stormed a house in the city of Los Mochis after a tipoff he was hiding out there.
‘Operation Black Swan’ kicks off with a hail of bullets as troops search room to room for El Chapo, killing 5 of his associates (one Marine was injured) during the 15min raid.
Sneaky devil that he is, Chapo snuck out a secret tunnel that led to an access door for the city’s sewerage system, after which he and a top deputy stole a car before FINALLY being captured by federal cops on a highway.
