Real talk: Chris Pratt could do several farts into a diving helmet and I’d still think it was hilarious and clever and great.
So with that in mind, here’s this. The Starlord himself is making his debut as a host of Saturday Night Live for the premiere of the show’s upcoming 40th Season.
Normally, when the new season of the show is looming, they’ll put together little inconsequential interstitials featuring the host and maybe a cast member or something doing tiny little plugs to remind people that, yes, it is in fact coming back. Usually, there’s are boring little pieces of fluff that harm few and entertain fewer.
But then of course there’s really few things that Chris Pratt has done lately that aren’t in some way, shape or form completely and utterly great.
So we take Chris Pratt, put him in front of the camera, get his requisite line about the show out of the way, and then put the ABSOLUTELY GODDAMNED BRILLIANT Kate McKinnon with him and just let the camera roll.
The result? A whole bunch of pickle-fuelled hilarity. Check it out!
