Prolific UK movement-creating artist Banksy has made the jump from socio-political satirical street-based artwork (or mindless juvenile vandalism, depending on your point of view) to online activism, or video art, or… something else. It’s hard to tell with Banksy. This video, titled Rebel Rocket Attack, was posted to Banksy’s website today, accompanied by the message “I’m not posting any pictures today. Not after this shocking footage has emerged…”
This is the worst thing to happen to an adorable Disney character since Bambi’s mum copped it. Banksy is currently in New York for a one month residency, and so it could be understood that the video is suggesting his next work will be located in DUMBO – the Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass.
