VIC Police Issue 100% Legitimate Statement Regarding Thor’s Stolen Hammer

Victoria Police have released an official statement regarding Thor’s stolen hammer from Mjølner Melbourne.

Well, it’s not Thor’s proper one but it was forged in the shape of the almighty Mjølner. The steel hammer also doubles as an epic Whisky Decanter and is the viking-themed cocktail bar’s most prized possession.

Thor and a heap of whisky lovers in Melbourne:

The hammer was specially commissioned by The Balvenie Whisky and forged by Sam Bloomfield – a weapons maker who worked on Lord of the Rings. Bloomfield took to his Instagram to spread the word via the story feature.

According to Mjølner’s Facebook page, two men visited the viking-themed cocktail bar Saturday evening to inquire about their beverages. Later that night, they returned with three other men and actually told Mjølner’s staff members that “We came back for the hammer”.

Initially, staff thought the men just wanted another drink from the decanter before the five villains struck in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Posting the ordeal to their Facebook page Mjølner wrote:

“Just as in INFINITY WAR I call on you the Facebook Universe to unite in our quest to have MJØLNER returned to us. Please share this post and if you know any of the men pictured here please reach out to them and let them know we just want our property returned to us. For any hero out there that aids us in the return of Mjølner a reward ye shall receive. SKÅL!!”

You heard them folks, a reward ye shall receive for your heroics.

In their statement Vic Police wrote they were looking for a “group comprised of five Caucasian males, all aged between 35-50 years-old and about 175-183cm tall.”

“The hammer which ‘emits mystical blasts of energy’ is crucial to Thor’s super hero powers, so police are keen to locate it… Unfortunately Thor himself is currently in Byron Bay and unavailable to assist with tracking down the villains.”

I guess us mere mortals will have to catch the Loki worshipping dickheads so if you’ve seen an eight kilogram, 60 centimetre in length hammer with a leather bound shaft and engravings on the head then please let Mjølner Melbourne know or contact Crime Stoppers.

Mjølner and VIC Police have both released images of the men from CCTV footage:

If you have information about the robbery, please contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. You can also submit an anonymous report here
