It might be cold, wet, dreary, grey, miserable, and the absolute depths of winter outside at the moment. But that shouldn’t stop you from treatin’ yo self to a little summer flavour. Alt-taxi/ride sharing service Uber want to help you out with that today by getting you some sweet treats without you having to leave the house. How cool is that!
Today only in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, and Perth, Uber will be delivering Ice Cream to you via their app. All you need to do is fire the app up, select the Uber Ice Cream option, and away you go. All monies and the like will just get charged directly to your Uber account, so you won’t need to worry about cash. And an Uber driver will bring you a tub of delicious frosty treats, which in some cities means a tub of (motherfucking) Gelato Messina! Holla!
Demand is expected to be pretty high, so you might be waiting a while. But it’s delicious ice cream delivered right to your home/workplace/pub floor. Who are you to complain about that?
Here’s where, when, and what you’ll be getting, according to the Uber Ice Cream blog.
Sydney – 11am til 5pm. $20 for 1. Salted caramel, chocolate brownie and Bounty 500ml tubs.
Melbourne – 11am til 5pm. $20 for 1, $15 for each additional tub. 500gram tub of Gelato Messina.
Brisbane – 11am til 5pm. $20 for 1. Delivering Gelato Messina.
Adelaide – 11am til 5pm. $20 for 1. Salted caramel, chocolate brownie and Bounty 500ml tubs.
Perth – 12pm til 6pm. $20 for 1. Delivering Gelato Messina.
