TO US, THIS IS PERFECT: A Legit ‘Love Actually’ Reunion Special Is Coming

OH. MY. GOD.
Seriously, we are very super sorry if we’ve startled you at this early hour on a Thursday morning, but AAAAAAAAAGGGHHHHHHHHHH!
A ‘Love Actually’ reunion is legitimately happening. FOR REALSIES.
So, in the UK, Comic Relief put on a massive charity comedy special for Red Nose Day. It’s a massive event in the UK, huge stars get involved, everyone has a great time and raises loads of cash for worldwide famine. For example, that video of James Corden doing that first ever ‘Carpool Karaoke’ with George Michael? That was a skit for the Comic Relief special.
So, for the 2017 event, a large amount of characters from ‘Love Actually’ are returning to make a mini follow up film to the OG cult film.
Included are: Liam Neeson, his son Thomas Brodie-Sangster (WHO IS NOW 26 YEARS OLD OMG), Hugh Grant and Martine McCutcheon, Keira Knightley and Andrew Lincoln, and Colin Firth and Lucia Moniz – plus Bill Nighy, Marcus Brigstocke, Olivia Olson, and Rowan Atkinson.
It’s set 14 years later, and will revisit the lives of the characters and how they’ve been since we last saw them on that fateful Christmas. BLESS.
The director of the film Richard Curtis, who is actually also one of Comic Relief‘s co-founders, said about the reunion:

“I would never have dreamt of writing a sequel to Love Actually but I thought it might be fun to do 10 minutes to see what everyone is now up to. Who has aged best? I guess that’s the big question — or is it so obviously Liam?

We’ve been delighted and grateful that so many of the cast are around and able to take part — and it’ll certainly be a nostalgic moment getting back together and recreating their characters 14 years later. We hope to make something that’ll be fun and which we hope will help bring lots of viewers and cash to the Red Nose Day shows.”
Guys, we know it’s not a full film. It’s a lil’ mini sequel. But hey – we’ll take what we can get.
Honestly, we’re not entirely sure if they’ll be able to top this from Bill Nighy, but holy fkn hell – we hope they give it a red hot go:
The Comic Relief Red Nose Day Special airs on March 24th in the UK. No word on airing dates in Australia just yet, but we’ll keep you updated!
