At last, fans of genre-defining / ceaselessly problematic rom-coms have been gifted with the first teaser trailer for Red Nose Day Actually, the spiritual sequel to 2003’s Love Actually.
Showing off nearly all of the original flick’s major players (minus the late, great Alan Rickman, onscreen partner Emma Thompson, and Colin Firth), the short clip promises to follow-up on those nine interweaving tales of furtive love and questionable power dynamics.
Andrew Lincoln, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rowan Atkinson, Keira Knightley, Liam Neeson, *deep breath* Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Olivia Olson, Hugh Grant, Lucia Moniz, and Bill fucking Nighy all flash those huge bloody cards for the teaser.
The 10-minute-long special airs tomorrow in the UK as part of Comic Relief, the enormous charity benefit to aid research into Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. There have definitely been worse reasons to stoke up nostalgia, hey?
