The Veronicas Help Aussie Ledge Volunteers Makeover Local Community Centre

Produced in association with our mates at Optus RockCorps.

~ FEEL-GOOD STORY OF THE DAY ALERT ~
ICYMI, the annual Optus RockCorps concert, to be held at Sydney’s Big Top Luna Park on September 30, is a reward for Aussie good-doers who give up four hours of their time to help local communities with an epic live performance by the likes of Wiz Khalifa and Peking Duk, this year’s big billers.
Helping motivate our commitment to good ‘ol community spirit are the project’s brand ambassadors, Jess and Lisa of The Veronicas, who helped kick-off the RockCorps 2015 campaign with the transformation of the Dundas Area Neighbourhood Centre in Telopea from dirt patch to Garden of Eden (kinda).
Swapping a mic for a spade, the sistas-from-the-same-mista – who burst back onto the Aussie music scene in 2014, with their self-titled third album – got down and dirty with 42 other volunteers, paying it forward by planting, weeding and painting up a storm.
The community centre deserves a little TLC: it offers personal services and general support to the good folks of Telopea, in NSW.

Now in its third year in Australia, more than 9,500 tickets to RockCorps have been earned all up, with 88 charities partnering in 122 volunteer projects.

That’s a whole lot of goodness going back into the community.
The RockCorps 2015 concert is going to be pretty friggin’ sweet BUT…

You can’t buy a ticket, you can’t win a ticket, you have to EARN a ticket by giving up four hours of your time to the greater good of our fair land.

Fair trade, right m8s?
