The Queen Name-Drops Game Of Thrones In Her Christmas Speech

Queen Elizabeth II delivered her annual Christmas speech yesterday, which is typically only viewed by faithful monarchists and denizens in the motherland and any Australian who’s remote is broken before they could switch from Channel 2. Except this time, she decided to reference Game Of Thrones, and the Twitterverse promptly went intro overdrive.

Thanks to the wonders of YouTube, you can view all seven minutes of the thing below. But essentially she visited the set of the show while in Belfast, and thought she’d use it as a platform to discuss reconciliation in light of, you know, that whole Scotland thing.
