The Orlando Shooter’s Wife Knew About His Plans, Says She Tried To Stop Him

As investigators continue to try to unpick the motivations and processes behind the horrific mass shooting at Orlando gay nightclub Pulse, it has been revealed that Noor Salman, wife of shooter Omar Mateen, told the FBI that she was aware of his plans and was present when he bought the ammunition.

She also drove with him to the site of the shooting at an earlier date, and claims that she tried to talk him out of his plan. NBC, who broke the story, allege that she may be charged in connection with the attack, due to her alleged foreknowledge.
Mateen is responsible for the worst mass shooting in U.S. history, with 50 people confirmed dead including himself.
Salman deleted all her social media accounts and has not given any media interviews since the attack, but is apparently cooperating fully with the FBI.
Mateen visited Disney World several times between June 1 and June 6, which authorities believe may have been to ‘scope out’ the location as a possible target. Salman was with Mateen at Disney World during an earlier visit in April. Satellite data from Mateen’s mobile phone reveals that he visited Disney Springs, a connected shopping mall, prior to the Pulse attack.
Mateen’s first wife, Sitora Yusifiy, claims that she divorced him due to his serious mental health problems and repeated patterns of abuse.
