The eviscerated VB stubbies of a fully hectic wedding reception that shall henceforth be known as The Most ‘Strayan Wedding Of All Time has reverberated around the globe this week after a series of nuptial indiscretions whose only common denominator seems to be alcohol ended with the bride in the emergency room and the groom in lockup.
The situation – a compelling Tourism Tasmania anti-alcohol PSA – escalated over the weekend at their bacchanalian Hobart wedding reception when the bride fell ill and an ambulance was called. When the paramedics turned up, police backup was requested for crowd control reasons. When the police turned up that’s when shit got real and the wedding party “became aggressive and threw punches”. The bride was subsequently admitted to the Royal Hobart Hospital where she was treated for severe alcohol poisoning while the groom and loyal his best man (a million bro points to you, sir) were taken into police custody and arrested for disorderly conduct.
