So who is the target of online horndogs’ peculiar lusts today? A Turkish butcher with particular flourish for applying salt. He has been named Salt Bae by some, and Sprankle Daddy by others. Watch the video, and you will know.
There is absolutely nothing practical about the way this man applies salt to meats. There is absolutely no reason why this particular method would be a more effective strategy of properly salting meat than, you know, just sprinkling some salt on it. In fact, it looks highly wasteful – I would estimate about 50% of that salt was picked up by the breeze and cast into the ether.
Twitter immediately went wild over the bloke – who already has an enormous audience. His name is Nusret Gökçe, and he one of the men behind the Nusr-Et Steakhouse, which as locations across Turkey and Dubai. He has over one million followers on his Instagram, mostly in Turkey and the Middle East.
