This year’s Sydney Film Festival runs from 2 – 14 June, featuring a program that includes:
the latest offering from Roman Polanski The Ghost Writer
Italian director Luca Guadagnino’s romantic melodrama starring Tilda Swinton, Io sono l’amore
Beautiful Darling, James Raisin’s documentary about Candy Darling the gorgeous transsexual who found fame through Andy Warhol’s Factory movies Flesh and Women in Revolt
The Runaways – the biopic about Joan Jett’s all-girls Seventies group
and:
the Australian premiere of Exit Through The Gift Shop – the highly anticipated documentary about infamous stencil artist Banksy.
Rumours are beginning to circulate that the notoriously stealthy artist will be in Sydney during the Festival – particularly after he turned up in Los Angeles during the movie’s recent US premiere, leaving behind a series of artwork
