A Melbs Subway Is Apparently Printing Pro-‘Yes’ Messages On Its Receipts

A suburban Melbourne Subway franchise appears to have taken a firm stance on the upcoming same-sex marriage postal survey by printing a pro-‘Yes’ message right onto its receipts.

In a photo posted to Facebook by civil celebrant Steve King, the Cranbourne Park Shopping Centre restaurant’s receipt can be seen to bearing the message “We believe in EQUALITY for ALL Australians.

What about you?

Vote “YES” in the Postal Survey.

Do it because it’s the right thing to do.”

And that positive message was apparently tacked onto a humble Monday morning order of a breaky sandwich and OJ.

Considering the kind of utterly atrocious language which has been spewed in public advocating for the ‘no’ cause, this little piece of corporate advocacy seems positively quaint.

It’s also worth noting that the postal survey, which today’s upcoming High Court ruling seems unlikely to derail, isn’t the only survey mentioned on the receipt. God knows we’d rather have a free cookie than be subjected to hateful rhetoric.
