Second Man Arrested In Relation to Stephanie Scott’s Murder

UPDATED at 3:25pm

Marcus Stanford, the twin brother of accused killer Vincent Stanford, will be extradited to NSW. He is expected to be charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder over Stephanie Scott‘s death in Leeton last April.

He told the court he did not know anything about the warrant for his arrest, and that he had not spoken to a lawyer.

When asked if there was any reason why he should return to Leeton, he said: “Never been there, so I wouldn’t need to return.”

He is to appear at Sydney Central Local Court on Thursday.

A second man has been arrested in relation to the murder of school teacher Stephanie Scott on April 5 this year.

The 24-year-old man was arrested in South Australia, and is expected to be charged with accessory to murder. He will appear before the Mount Barker Magistrates Court today, where his extradition will be sought by NSW police.

It is suspected – but not confirmed by NSW police – that he is Marcus Stanford, the twin brother of Vincent Stanford, the cleaner accused of murdering Ms Scott, who has been charged with sexually assaulting her before her death.
