RIP: Free Paper mX To Be Scrapped In Two Weeks

Free commuter newspaper mX is to be scrapped by its publisher News Corp, with the last edition to run in two weeks time.

“News confirms the closure of mX in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane,” a spokesman said.

“The decision is a reflection of the changing reading habits of commuters who now turn to their mobile phones and tablets on their way to and from work.”

All those times we were nose deep in our phones instead of appreciating features like overheard, lost in love, and that one where celebrity tweets are mined for anything vaguely punnable… it’s all our fault. Better tweet about it.

Just wait till next time your phone dies and you’re stuck with nothing to read. Jesus Christ, the horror.

RIP mX.
