R U OK ADELAIDE: South Australia Got Hit By A Gnarly AF Storm Last Night

 
Poor old South Australia has been absolutely smashed by extreme winds and heavy rains overnight, leaving much of the state without power, and inflicting a helluva lot of physical damage.
Traffic lights are out, power lines and trees have been torn down, cars and homes have been left with severe damage, and several drivers were stranded in flood waters after the storm.
The weather event was caused by an intense low pressure system hitting Adelaide at around midnight.

In terms of power, many households have been told that they won’t have power again until midnight tonight (Wednesday).

Reportedly the low pressure system will move towards SA‘s south-east, where thunderstorms are likely to occur.
