Buckingham Palace is currently in one helluva flurry after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced plans to “step back” from their roles as senior members of the Royal Family and embark on an independent life and good fucken on ’em.

Following the couples’ wild statement, Buckingham Palace has released a statement of its own and Queen Liz is PISSED.

“Discussions with The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are at an early stage. We understand their desire to take a different approach, but these are complicated issues that will take time to work through.”
BBC reports that no other member of the Royal Family was consulted before Harry and Meghan issued their personal statement and they are understood to be “disappointed.”

The couple said they will continue to convene with Harry’s grandma, dad, and brother to suss out the next move.
“We look forward to sharing the full details of this exciting next step in due course, as we continue to collaborate with Her Majesty The Queen, The Prince of Wales, The Duke of Cambridge and all relevant parties,” they said.
In recent months, the couple has been unusually candid about the pressures of life in the Royal Family and the intrusions of the media, suggesting they’ve been wanting to crawl back from the public eye for a while.
All I know is, Meghan has been up against it from the get go. The ongoing criticism, racism and general attacks from both the public and the press would surely take its toll on the girl (not to mention the fact that mere hours after giving birth, she was forced to pose for photos in makeup and heels).
I, for one, reckon they made the right decision and I wish them all the best in their next endeavour.
