Punchbowl Servo Gives Out Free Fuel To Celebrate Election In Lebanon

Stuff like this is a beautiful reminder that, despite what Dutton and Hanson might have to say, Australia is at its heart a multicultural country, and it fucking rules for that reason.

A bunch of Sydney motorists got to experience the actual dream today after a servo gave away free fuel at lunchtime, because the owners wanted to celebrate the election of Michel Aoun as president of Lebanon.
Lebanon’s last head of state, Michel Suleiman, stepped down in 2014 and the country had been president-free until Aoun was elected yesterday.
The servo, on the corner of Punchbowl Road and Dudley Street, had a queue as far as the eye could see as crafty consumers through their shitty 4c-discount-shopper-dockets in the bin and went where the free petrol was.
What a beautiful country.
