A major police operation is currently happening in Sydney‘s CBD, on the corner on Wentworth St and Oxford St.
9 News has reported that an armed gunman is holed up in the Fair Work Commission building, with staff still inside.
PEDESTRIAN.TV reporter on the ground, Alex Bruce-Smith has told us that this information has not been confirmed by police.

The building has been locked down, and police are on the scene, with reports saying that threats were made against the government building.

UPDATE, 7:30pm:
The office building was evacuated after threatening information was received at approximately 4:40pm.
Early reports of an armed person are now being seen as false, but police remain on-site after to conduct a search of the building. NSW Police say that the incident was not terror-related.
The search was completed shortly before 7:30pm local time, with nothing suspicious being found.
