Pitchfork Music Launches Spin-Off Visual Art Site, “Nothing Major”

Pitchfork, Internet juggernaut and home of the 7.4 review, today announced the launch of their newest venture, a design site called Nothing Major.

From the mouths of babes: Nothing Major will publish observations on style, fine art, photography, textiles, technology, architecture, graphic design, interiors, video, furniture, and accessories, as well as pieces with an historical perspective on design and creativity. NøMa, as we like to call it [of course you do – Ed], loves bedroom GIF-makers, resurgent craftsmen, by-hand-typographers, vintage album cover aficionados, and upstart brands, as well as unsung classics and amazing underdog projects looking for funding.”
Like all Pitchfork-related enterprises, NoMA looks goddamn gorgeous and already has plans for making money firmly in place, with an online store for T-shirts, lamps and other Williamsburg-related wares attached to the main vehicle. It complements Pitchfork’s eventual takeover of the entire world, which currently extends to a dedicated video channel, an international travelling music festival, a site just for video games and, you know, probably a hipster militia.
Designers, visual artists and Tumblr pirates can get on board with NoMA here. The rest of you go back to your WordPress blogs and stay the hell out of the way before you get a review like this
